Offer to Trabzonspor

After the expiration of his loan agreement with Roma and return to Galatasaray, Danish centre-back Victor Nelsson was offered to Trabzonspor through football intermediaries. If the talks become official, the player, who currently represents the Istanbul giants, could reinforce the Black Sea club’s back line.

Okan Buruk Does Not Count on Nelsson

Last winter Galatasaray loaned Nelsson to Roma with a purchase option, but the Italian side chose not to activate it, and the 25-year-old Dane returned to Istanbul. The defender is known for disliking time on the bench and can create tension in the squad in such situations. The Lions’ head coach Okan Buruk has openly informed the board that he does not see the player in his future plans.

Trabzonspor’s Position and Fatih Tekke’s Role

According to club sources, agents have already conveyed Nelsson’s readiness to change teams to Trabzonspor. Should sporting director Fatih Tekke give the green light, the parties will quickly sit down at the negotiating table. For the Burgundy-Blue side, the Dane is valued as an experienced, athletic, and disciplined centre-back who can shore up the defence ahead of the new season.

Interest From Italian Clubs

Previously, two other Serie A clubs—Como and Hellas Verona—emerged on the horizon. Both sides had been exploring the possibility of signing Nelsson and, according to local media, continue to monitor developments.

Contract Details With Galatasaray

Victor Nelsson’s current deal with Galatasaray runs until 2027, and his market value is estimated at €14 million. Therefore, any prospective buyer will need to negotiate not only with the player and his representatives but also with the Istanbul club’s management to find common ground on both the transfer fee and the defender’s personal terms.
